For socialisers and their puppies
Please note these times and dates may vary.
There are puppy classes every Monday, Tuesday & Friday. Lucy's are on a Monday and Mandy's on Tuesdays & Fridays. Each socialiser is given a list of dates so they know exactly which dates to attend.
 Mandy's at Test District Guide Hall, Timsbury Drive, Southampton, SO16 4EQ
Lucy's classes are held at the Shedfield Reading Rooms, Church Lane, Shedfield
all at 10.30 am.
Socialisers are divided into two groups depending on puppies age and handler's experience.
Each group attends on alternate weeks.
This enables the puppy trainer to assess the progress of the puppies and can offer help and information if needed. It also helps the puppies with socialisation |
SOUTH HANTS BRANCH DOG / PUPPY HEALTH WALKS
N.B. Please ask your Puppy Socialising trainer BEFORE taking your HD puppy on this walk!
There are strict rules regarding puppies welfare on ALL outings.
 On the second Tuesday of each month the puppy socialisers, Hearing Dog Recipients and Supporters with their respective dogs/puppies can enjoy a refreshing walk which also helps with the puppy socialisation as well as friendship for the owners.
During the winter months we meet at the Royal Victoria Country Park, Netley in the car park near the refreshment rooms. Starting at 10.30 am.
In the summer we walk at Manor Farm Country Park, Botley meeting by the Duck Pond at 10.am.
The walk is 2 miles long but we move at the pace of the smallest puppy. By the time we have had coffee it will be getting on for midday. Anyone interested is welcome to join us for a friendly walk and chat. Contact the secretary for more details.
PUPPY SOCIALISERS
People are always needed for puppy socialisers in the South Hampshire, Dorset and West Sussex areas. Could you take a Hearing Dog puppy into your home for about 1 year and teach it basic obedience?
This is a very worthwhile job which only costs you your time and love. All expenses are met by the charity e.g. Vet bills, food, equipment and travel to and from the centre.
